More Kanye Drama: Caught Stealing, Now It's Time to Pay The Piper

Everyone's talking about the VMA's (Video Music Awards), which aired on MTV Sunday night.  American pop culture critics and bloggers are ranting and raving about Kanye West and Lil Mama acting a fool by jumping onstage when they shouldn't have been anywhere near the stage!  The clothes, the music, the performances, the tweets, and the apologies that have followed the 2009 VMA's are quite interesting, to say the least.

Kanye Offers Apology to Taylor Swift on Jay Leno's New Show

Speaking of apologies, Kanye issued an apology on Jay Leno's show tonight for stealing little Taylor Swift's moment at the 2009 Video Music Awards.  I may be a sucker, but his apology appeared to be quite genuine.  I think this young man is deeply troubled.  He appears to suffer from severe depression, narcissism, deep pain left over from unattended and ignored sadness.  Kanye has not stopped working or taken a break to mourn and get himself together since his mother's sudden and unexpected death.  West has been quoted as saying that his mom has been his primary source of support on numerous occasions.  This is not good for anyone.  I'm glad to see that Kanye had the courage to apologize.  That takes a lot of moxie.

Watch The Jay Leno Show on television on NBC at 10 Eastern /9 Central and starting this Tuesday you may watch full episodes online in high definition here.

Watch Kanye West Apologize to Taylor Swift on Jay Leno

After the emotional interview on Jay Leno tonight, Kanye West did an awesome musical performance of what is quickly becoming a hip-hop hit with R & B singing sensation Rihanna, and Jay-Z. By the way, Rihanna has managed to keep pretty quite since Chris Brown's sentencing for domestic abuse.  Good for her.  She's a good girl and deserves  to finally be left alone and celebrated for her talent.

Beyonce Is A Class-Act At The 2009 VMA's

As usual, Beyonce' Knowles tears the house down whenever this R & B soul-stirring diva lets loose her soul and sings.  She performed "Put A Ring on It" at the 2009 Video Music Awards on MTV last night and brought the fever.  A host of twenty or so other women performed with Beyonce' and wowed the crowd one more time.  Check this out.

What's Up With Lil Mama Interrupting Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' at VMA's

Last night I thought I was confused, but now I know I've got all together.  Come to find out, it wasn't me afterall.  It was rapper and choreographer, Lil Mama who was all mixed up.  As I enjoyed Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' perform their hit hip-hop song, "Empire State of Mind" at the VMA's last night, she jump onstage and posed with Jay-Z The Great and Alicia Keys, The Superwoman at the end of their set as though she had just completed some miraculous performance.  No, no, no no!  She had no business onstage!

Lil Mama, Taking Charm Lessons  from Leiomy

Now isn't Lil Mama the same lovely person who just dissed Leiomy Maldonado, a transgender contestant for, "Not acting like a lady" on "America's Best Dance Crew," a dance competition show on MTV on which Lil Mama is a judge?  When dissing the talented and lovely woman Leiomy, Lil Mama also had this to say, “Leiomy, come on. Your behavior…it’s unacceptable. I just feel that you always have to remember your truth. You were born a man and you are becoming a woman. If you’re going to become a woman, act like a lady.”  It might be good for Lil Mama to take charm lessons from Leiomy.  She's quite a lady and man, can she dance!

According to sources at MTV, Lil Mama released the following apology:

“I did not mean any disrespect towards Jay-Z or Alicia Keys,” the rapper/America’s Best Dance Crew judge says. “I admire them and look up to them as role models. ‘Empire State of Mind’ had my emotions running high. In that moment I came up on stage to celebrate my two icons singing about NY.”
